Our first Ridgeback joined us in early 2002 and after co-breeding with Dimond Ridgebacks, we established Maijani in 2006. In 2007 we relocated to a beautiful 10 acre property in the growing area of Longmont, Colorado. Our new home has plenty of room for our Ridgebacks to roam and we are looking forward to enjoying many years in this beautiful location.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks are amazing companions, but they are not the right dog for everyone. They are loyal and loving to their families, but they can be very stubborn and strong-willed. Bringing a Ridgeback into your life is a serious committment and if you are willing to make the accomodations necessary to live with this breed, make sure you do your research. Only purchase from a reputable breeder, NEVER from a puppy store. Ask questions, meet the breed, and then ask more questions!

We are members in good standing of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States, the Colorado Rhodesian Ridgeback Club, and the Rocky Mountain Hound Association. Debbie currently serves as the Chair of the RRCUS Ethics Committee and is Vice President of the Colorado Rhodesian Ridgeback Club.

Breeding news:
After a hiatus, we are pleased to announce that we are "expecting" at Maijani. Halle, Maijani's Christmas Dimond JC, our 5 year old Garnet daughter (pictured above) is expecting a small litter at the end of May. Proud dad-to-be is Calico Ridge Serengeti Sam. At this time, we do have a waiting list and believe most of the puppies are already spoken for. We'd like to thank our prospective puppy people for waiting patiently. Inquires are always welcome.

It will be a quiet spring for us, we'll focus on local shows with our young female Stella. Look for us at our "local" show in Longmont the first week of June and we wouldn't miss the supported entry in Colorado Springs!
